Message from the Principal

Principal biography

November is here and fall is in full swing. This is that time of year when the weather is great and I begin to hear people say, “this is why I live in Arizona!” I would encourage you all to take advantage of the wonderful fall weather and enjoy some time outdoors with your family.

In addition to the great weather, November marks the start of the Holiday Season. Each year, our staff and students are encouraged to use this season to demonstrate gratitude and to reflect on all the blessings and opportunities that we give and receive. We have such a wonderfully supportive community that helps to ensure our students and staff have the things they need to be successful each day. We are so grateful for this network of support.

I would like to extend a special thanks to everyone that made our Parent/Teacher Conferences such a big success. Communication with families is a key component to any student’s educational success. We appreciate the time and effort that our parents gave to ensure that they remain a fixture in their child’s academic journey.

As we continue to progress through the school year, we will continue to focus on social-emotional efforts with our students. We are learning and practicing techniques related to mindfulness while we also focus on the 7 Mindsets. This month, our mindset focus is: 100% Accountable. This focus will allow us to continue to teach our students that we get to choose to be responsible for our own happiness and success. We are excited to be encouraging our students to take ownership of the great things that are happening around them.

Like always, we have a busy month ahead. Please mark your calendars for all early release days, holidays, and special events. Most important dates are posted within this newsletter. In addition, we will continue to send weekly communications via School Messenger so please be sure you are signed up to receive all important Cactus emails. If you want to be even more connected with the school, please feel free to follow us on Facebook, Twitter (@CactusCoyotes), and Instagram (@CactusCoyotes).

As we continue our journey through the school year, our calendars will continue to be full, but never to full to connect with our community. If you have something to offer or want to stop by to see the great things going on at our school, please stop in or contact our school office. We love having visitors during classes and lunch times.

Have a restful Thanksgiving Break and a wonderful Holiday Season.
